With the first house bought for its “WG-Projet”, the association LIFE offers seven young adults affordable rooms in shared housing. The houses the association buys are renovated to demanding ecological standards, providing a twofold answer to the housing crisis and the climate emergency. Beyond simply having a roof, each shared house is intended as a place of common life, where a community of solidarity and mutual support takes shape. Four loans granted between 2023 and 2025 bear witness to rapid growth. In addition to the twenty houses it has bought, LIFE manages 70 further houses belonging to private owners under social rental management, housing 450 people in total.
