ASTM is a Luxembourg organisation working in international solidarity. Its cultural agency was set up in 1989 under an agreement with the Ministry of Culture.
Through its “Ateliers des Cultures” project, ASTM raises young people’s awareness of global issues through art, music and creative writing. The project sets out to promote solidarity, encourage civic engagement and create spaces for dialogue, reflection and expression, in keeping with ASTM’s mission of Global Citizenship Education (GCE).
Artists from a range of backgrounds lead workshops in photography, theatre, djembe, capoeira, dance and creative writing. These activities invite young people to express themselves, to question the realities of the world and to reflect on what it means to live together.
